Question:

When we are on an extended stay I take the camper off the truck and lower it down and use the bumper step. When we travel daily and I leave it on, my wife would like to have scissor steps. My question is will the mounting bracket for the TLA783 fit within the frame of the bumper step whose inside measurement is 26 7/8. The bracket is listed as 21 1/2inch wide but does that include the rubber posts on the outside for locking the steps up? I can take the bumper step off when using the scissor steps but want to leave the mounting bracket for the scissor steps in place all the time. My second question is about the Basement Glo step TLA7510. I have a storage door it would need to straddle that is 17inch wide. Is the inside of the frame when the step is collapsed wide enough to clear the door. I have sent pictures of the Bumper step and the basement storage door. Thank you

The mounting bracket for the TorkLift GlowStep Stow N' Go Scissor Steps # TLA7834 is 23" wide x 3-1/2" tall if you measure from outside edge to outside edge. With the retention straps/rest of the bracket on the sides included you're looking at 24-1/2" in total width and about 7-1/2" in total height. Based on the pictures you provided you wouldn't be able to mount the steps to the wall of the trailer and would instead need to mount them to the diamond plate bumper. You could pull the pin and remove the steps when travelling and just leave the bracket attached.

The TorkLift GlowStep Collapsible Step # TLA7510 has approximately 18-1/2" of space between the supports or 20-1/2" of space between the legs, not including the support brackets.
