Question:

I need to buy a ski rack for Audi Q7. I am confused do I buy a cross bar and attach it to my railings and then attach a ski rack to the crossbar? Could you tell me what I need. I only have the factory installed side rails. Thanks

There are a few options for carrying your skis on your 2022 Audi Q7. The first is one that would mount to the roof via a roof rack. This would require you to have a roof rack which consists of Crossbars # TH711420, Feet # TH49SC and a Fit Kit # TH52RE which will attach to your side rails. Then you will be able to add the Ski Carrier # GRR6G to the crossbars.

Another roof option is the SeaSucker Ski and Snowboard Carrier # SEA46ZR which uses vacuum cups to attach to the metal roof. This will not require a roof rack like above but it also limits you to only carrying ski's where the roof rack will also allow you to carry a Cargo Box # TH615 for your additional gear.

Finally we have the Yakima EXO Swing Away Ski Carrier # Y42VR which will mount to a 2" receiver on the back of your Audi. Since it is hanging off the back of your Audi it is much easier to secure the skis in place since you will not need to reach as high. We do also offer the carrier with a Cargo Box Kit # Y94ZR it that is more appealing.
