Question:
We are looking at using these stairs to access our mail chutes. We like it because it folds up out of the way and can be easily removed to work on equipment under or behind them. Our chute height is 40 and the width varies from 13 to 20 depending on the chute.

The 4 Steps TorkLift GlowStep Camper Scissor Steps # TLA7804 you found are only available with the single width mounting bar which is 21-1/2" wide. Do also note these steps are designed for a entry height of 31-38" so you would want to step up to the 5 Step # TLA7505 which is designed for a height of 38-1/2" to 46". But these steps do have a lower weight capacity of 300lbs versus the 375lbs of the 4 step unit.
