Recommended 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch For A 2016 Ram 2500 With Ram Boxes

Question:

I also have a 2016 Ram 2500 with Ramboxs with the 64 bed. When I looked at this hitch BWRVK3600 it says that it fits a Ram with an 8 ft bed. So, is this indeed what I would need to get? Also, the camper is a Grand Design Reflection 28BH. The Hitch weight is 1592, GVWR 11495, and Dry weight is 8997. What is the sidewinder attachment I would need?

Since you have Ram boxes the pivot point for your trailer needs to be at the back on the pin box otherwise it could potentially hit the Ram boxes when making a turn. The B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch for Ram Towing Prep Package # BWRVK3600 would work if you have the OEM puck system built into the bed. If not then you'll need to use the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3255 and some base rails # BWRVK2602 in order to mount the hitch to the truck.

If your trailer doesn't already have a rotating pin box then you'll need to determine your current pin box's bolt pattern so that we can find the correct fit. There's typically a sticker somewhere on the pin box that lists some serial numbers that we can use to find the bolt pattern. You'll also need a wedge kit # SWW-06 to lock the king pin into the jaws of the hitch so that it only pivots back at the trailer.
