Determining If B&W Continuum Weight Distribution Will Fit Behind a 2018 Jeep Wrangler

WILL THE BandW Continuum Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control for 2inch Hitch - 16K GTW, 1.6K TW work with a 2018 jeep wrangler with spare tire when the Hight adjustment is used to raise the ball up? i do plan using the Draw-Tite Class 3 Trailer Hitch instead of the factory trailer hitch receiver

Yes, you will be able to use the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System # BW78FR with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT78MR on your 2018 Jeep Wrangler. When we installed the receiver on your model year Jeep we found the hitch pin hole to be roughly 6" in front of the rear edge of the spare tire. The shank on the B&W is 11-3/8" from the hitch pin center to the ball mount center. This will place the ball center roughly 5-3/8" behind the spare tire which is going to be shorter than the front tongue lip on most all trailers. To verify if you will be able to place the hitch in the most vertical position you will need to determine how far your spare tire is above the top of the receiver. The top of the Draw-Tite receiver is going to sit 1/4" below the rear bumper structure behind the actual bumper. The center of the adjustable shank is going to sit 6" behind the hitch pin hole which will be even with your tire and is going to land 8" above the top of the hitch shank. As long as you have 8" from the bottom of your tire to the top inside edge of the receiver you will not have any clearance issues.
