The Lippert Turning Point pin box has a very unique bolt pattern and there is only one pin box that can be used as a replacement for that; the Gen-Y Gooseneck pin box:
- Gen-Y Hitch Shock Absorbing 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # GY48GR
This changes the connection point on the truck to a gooseneck so you need a gooseneck hitch and hitch ball to make this happen. The Gen-Y doesn't use air ride but it does use a shock-absorbing system that does a fantastic job at providing a comfortable ride and will be a great improvement to your current setup.
Please note the tongue weight (pin weight) of your 5th wheel needs to be within the 1,500 lb - 3,000 lb range for this pin box to work properly, and you'll also need Safety Chains # GY49GR for a gooseneck connection.
If you do decide to go this route and you need help with a gooseneck hitch for your truck just let me know the year, make, model, bed length, and the current 5th wheel hitch setup you have and I can make a recommendation for you.
