Troubleshooting A Furrion RV Stereo Remote That Isn't Working

Question:
After 6 months of no use and no battery in remote we cannot now get the remote to do anything but turn the unit on? We were trying to reset the clock and nothing so we did the reset button to try the stereo and still nothing. Is remote defective?

Expert Reply:
The remote for your Furrion DV3100 could possibly be defective but before tossing it you can try replacing the battery and then making sure the remote has a clear path to the sensor on the stereo. If the issue persists then it most likely is defective and would need to be replaced. Furrion doesn't offer this remote as a replacement item but does have a universal remote # FR34FR that will work with your stereo.
