Will Boat Cover Prevent Mildew On Interior Of Boat In Storage
Updated 04/07/2014 | Published 04/05/2014 >
Question:
My intended use for this product is to cover my boat during storage. My storage area is enclosed. I have read many reviews indicating the cover is water tight from the outside but my question centers around the inside of the boat. I assume condensation will build up due to daily temperature swings. can you tell me if the condensation will make the boat interior mildew? Ie, is it water tight from the inside out? Thanks and keep up the good work!

The Classic Accessories DryGuard Waterproof Boat Cover, part # CA20083, is designed to keep the interior of your boat dry and clean. The PVC-free fabric resists mildew, and is resistant to UV rays. This cover has two rear-air vents that have built-in stiffeners and allows moisture on the interior to escape.
Although there is no guarantee to eliminate mildew completely, the vents will help reduce the chance for condensation build-up and mildew. I would recommend removing the cover occasionally while in storage and wiping down any surfaces that have condensation present.
