What Does The 8K Rating Mean For the MORryde Shock Absorbing Equalizer MR27ZR

Published 10/31/2023

Question:

These show an 8K reference in the description. Is this the GVW limit? In other words this would not work for a large fifth wheel toy hauler with a GVW of 14k?

The 8K you are referring to references the individual capacity of each axle on the tandem axle trailer. So this MORryde Shock Absorbing Equalizer # MR27ZR will work on trailers with axles rated at 8,000 lbs or less. I imagine your 14K trailer would have a pair of 7K rated axles, meaning this equalizer will work well, provided it is sized correctly. There is not necessarily a GVWR for the equalizer itself.
