Question:
Looking at a new axle for my utility trailer. Was wondering where do you measure the axle from? Looking at the 72 and wondering if that would fit.

Expert Reply:
All of our axles are measures across from hub-face to hub-face. I have attached a diagram below showing where we measure the axle from. The diagram shows the Trailer Idler Axle Beam # e78GR. We will look at the hub-face length and the distance between the spring seats when determining fitment of an axle. If you are replacing an old axle we would want to try to get you an identical replacement. It is also good to know the weight capacity of the old axle.
