Trailer Hitch for 2024 Subaru Crosstrek with 3,500 lb Towing Capacity

Question:

i installed one or your hitches on my 2022 jeep Cherokee limited and it was awesome...well i sold the jeep and because of the new crosstrek wilderness im going to order and for the factory hitch its 600 bucks and you dont even get a wiring harness, wow !! the wilderness has a tow rating of 3500 lbs if i remember the jeep had 8 mounting points and the crosstrek only has 4 i mentioned this to the dealer and they said factory hitch has 8 mounting points which that means they drill the frame or something in pulling a 17 ft bass pro aluminum boat that weights 2150 lbs. plus gear Im guessing maybe a few 100+ batteries etc. is 4 mounting points enough you think ?? thanks guys

We have hitches for your 2024 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness like the Curt part # C13382 which have a 3,500 lb towing capacity and would work great for your 2,150 lb boat trailer. While this hitch only has 4 attachment points a hitch's towing capacity is more than just the hardware so I wouldn't worry about that too much. This hitch was designed to be as strong as possible and then independently weight rated so it for sure has a 3,500 lb capacity.
