Can 4-Way with 4 Wires Connect to 4-Way with 5 Wires
Published 10/23/2023 >
Question:
I have a 4 Flat/4 wire connection coming from my van. The trailer I want to use has a 4 flat/5 wire connection. Is there an adapter you have for this or can I build a crossover cable to match the trailer wiring? thanks

You actually don't need an adapter. The two 4-way types are perfectly compatible with each other. The one 4-way having 5-wires is a wish bone setup that has a wire ran for the running light circuit for each side of the trailer.
