Question:
I have a 2012 ram 2500 6.7 diesel, quad cab, standard bed. I dont have the long bed, or the mega cab,. as far as the over load springs, I dont think I have them. They are the the factory springs. I have the L shaped bracket that came with the hitch I bought. Here's my previous correspondence with Mike H. Question: I bought a used pro series 15k 5th wheel hitch and rails. It came with all the hardware but it was installed on a Chevy truck. I dont really want to reuse the included used hardware. I have a 2012 ram 2500 diesel, will this kit #RP58430 fit my ram? Is this all I need to install the rails? asked by: Josh O Expert Reply: You should not reuse the old hardware anyway because it is meant to be torqued once. The replacement hardware kit # RP58430 will work with your 2012 Ram 2500 as will the rails. But if the brackets that mount under the bed are custom brackets for the Chevy they will not fit your Ram. If they are the universal L-shaped brackets then you will also need an additional bracket for your Ram, # RP58023. However the universal kit will not fit models that have overload springs. Basically, I need to know what underbed brackets you have. The brackets mount to the truck frame and the rails attach through the bed to the brackets. I also need to know the bed length and cab style of your Ram. With this information I can determine exactly what you will need.

Expert Reply:
Because you have the L-brackets it looks like the installation kit you have is the Reese 5th Wheel Install kit part # RP30035. You will need the additional Reese Mounting Bracket part # RP58023 that Mike mentioned as well as the Replacement Hardware Kit # RP58430 that you referenced.
From the pictures you submitted I can tell you do not have the overload springs so all of the parts I recommended will work for you on your 2012 Ram 2500 quad cab with a 6 foot bed.
