I am looking for a recommendation for a hitch and bike rack with the capacity for an e-bike for a 2024 Honda HR-V I’m picking up soon. Thanks for any suggestions you can make.

Congrats on the new vehicle! To add a hitch to a 2024 Honda HR-V, I recommend the Curt item # C68DR. This class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver is custom fit and bolts to an HR-V with included hardware. It has a 2,000 lbs towing capacity and a 200 lbs maximum tongue weight, which is the highest capacity available for your Honda.

As far as a bike rack goes, since you have a heavier e-bike your only option with a 1-1/4" hitch is to use the Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack item # TH903202. This bike rack has a 65 lbs capacity per bike and includes built in locks. It uses padded clamps to secure the bikes by their frames. This is a great feature for step-thru bikes. The EasyFold also includes a built in ramp that makes loading your bikes easier.
If you have fat tires you will also need to add the Fat Bike Straps for Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack item # TH985101. The standard straps that come on the EasyFold item # TH903202 top out at 3" wide tires.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C59236 and the Draw-Tite Drawbar item # 3593 and then for hitch balls item # 19258 for a 2 inch ball or item # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.
