I just read your information regarding replacing your Atwood gas/electric hot water tank with a Dometic. Question... I have a custom full-body paint on my motorhome. Can I reuse my existing water tank cover with the Dometic tank?

Expert Reply:
The Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR uses a different Door # DMC58FR than the one on your Atwood water heater. The vent and latches are in different locations on the doors. You may be able to have just the door paint matched at your local paint shop if you want to keep the full body paint appearance.
