Is there any surface prepwork prior to installing this?

The only prep work for using the Alpha Systems Butyl Tape for RV Weatherproofing # AL62FJ is to clean and dry the surface area prior to applying the tape. Technically it can be applied without cleaning but the seal won't be as good if you don't clean the area and then dry it or wait for it to dry.
