Most slides have EPDM rubber roofs but because EPDM is rubber it requires treatment each year to keep it soft and prevent shrinkage. You could replace it with TPO which is another synthetic rubber that will last longer than the EPDM. The smallest roll we carry is the Alpha Systems Superflex TPO RV Roof Membrane - White - 67-1/2 Sqft Item # AL68CV which can be cut to fit and you'll need some adhesive # AL27CV and sealant # AL28KV to install it.

If the old sealant only has minor cracks you can use a sealant like the LaSalle Bristol XTRM Universal Self-Leveling Sealant # 34427034145-1 which is a little easier to work with than the Alpha Systems 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant for RVs # AL98KV. You need to keep in mind that adding sealant over sealant is just a quick fix and most likely temporary. You are better off getting the old sealant off and then applying the new sealant.

I want to make sure I answer this adequately, so I have two different answers. First will be general care once applied and the other will be removal.
So to start, soap and water or a mild cleaner/detergent will definitely keep the LaSalle Bristol XTRM 100 Self-Leveling Sealant # 34427034143-1 in good condition once applied and let to dry. I would avoid any cleaners or soaps that have dye in them as these can stain things over time. Some of the chemicals in these can also cause the sealant... view full answer...

The Alpha Systems Superflex RV Roof Membranes like part # AL42CV uses a TPO membrane and the LaSalle Bristol RV Roof Membranes like part # 3441700534142711435 uses a PVC membrane. The TPO membrane is more resistant to punctures and wear but the PVC membrane is more energy efficient. These are the main differences but they both work well on RV's. I recommend the TPO due to the increased strength which would therefore mean less maintenance.

While we do not unpackage and unroll the Alpha Systems Superflex TPO RV Roof Membrane, # AL85CV for measuring, we can assure you that measurement listed is the minimum contained within the package. While there may be a slight amount of access, partly due to stretching that may occur, listed length will be rather accurate. view full answer...
You will want a Non-Sag sealant like the alpha Systems Alpha Thane 5160 Non-Sag Sealant for RVs # AL83KV. It sticks to wood, metal and glass. It will not run or drip. It is weather-resistant and flexible so it wont crack and peal off while your travel trailer flexes and moves.
With an application temperature range from 5-120 degrees F you can be confident it will set properly.
