Does the replacement lock cable part no Y8890284 for a Yakima Hold Up rack come with a lock core and key? I need one replacement cable assembly and dont have the key for the other one. How do I determine the required key for the existing lock and can I get the same key number for the new one? Thanks.

The lock core and key does not come with the Replacement Cable Lock Assembly for Yakima HoldUp Bike Carriers # Y8890284. The key for your current lock core can be found by identifying the numbers stamped onto the existing lock core, however the lock would need to be removed to find those numbers.

Your best bet is to drill out the existing lock core and replacing the entire deal with the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Lock Cores # Y07202.
