Troubleshooting Curt T-Connector # C56403 With Power Always On Green Wire/Right Trailer Light

Hey guys, I just installed my eco hitch, and all went flawlessly. I have installed my Curt wiring controller in my 2018 VW Tiguan, and I have power to the green wire all of the time. No flashing, when turn signal is activated. This is all tested using a test light. What should I check next?

Expert Reply:
First you will want to use your Test Light # PTW2993 to test for power going into the Curt T-Connector # C56403 on your 2018 Volkswagen Tiguan. This will allow you to determine if the module is somehow getting a signal or if the module itself is defective. If you do not have power on the green wire going into the module but have power on the green wire coming out of the module you know the module is defective.
If the green wire does have power you will want to check the connectors to ensure none of the pins inside that portion of the harness got bent and are creating a short inside the connector.
Please let me know if these all check out or what you find by testing the wiring going into the Curt module.
