I have a 2023 Grand Cherokee L and I need to add a 7 pin connector and a brake controller. What will I need for this?

The first thing you're going to need is a 4-way. The Tekonsha # TK39VR will do the job and is the best, most reliable option for this wiring. Once installed, you will be able to upgrade to a 7-way using the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7. The adapter, wiring, and everything else you need are included in the kit.
For a brake controller, I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty # RED24FR. The main unit installs out of sight so only the control knob will be visible in the cab of your Jeep. This gives it a nice clean look while taking up virtually no space. The knob controls the brake power and is also the manual override. The # RED69FR wiring harness will also be required.
