I may have a solution for you, but the curt hitch # C31054 that you were looking at is not for a 2006 Toyota Highlander. Nor would I recommend taking a custom fit hitch for another vehicle and modifying it to fit your vehicle. Since there is no custom front hitch available, your only option would be to go with a universal weld on hitch like the Draw Tite # 41990-07. This is something that will require modification/fabrication since it is not custom fit. We recommend having that kind of work done by a professional.
