Troubleshooting etrailer A-Frame Powered Jack Not Working

Question:
Before installing it the trailer. I tried to test it to make sure it worked. But when I first plug it in I have power but pushing the bottoms it’s shorting out and losing power.

Try cleaning the pins of the 7-way connectors on your vehicle as that's most likely what's preventing the etrailer jack # EJ-3527-BBX from working. Also make sure the battery on the vehicle is in good shape and that the 12 volt power circuit pin (1:00 position) has 10 gauge wire like part # 10-1-1 ran from it to the battery.
