No, the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7332 you're looking at will not fit your Volkswagen Golf GTI. This hitch is only designed to be used with the R models, so for your GTI you'd want to use # 306-X7310 instead.
The only difference between this hitch and the one you were looking at is the receiver size. This hitch has a 1 1/4" class II receiver, while the # 306-X7332 you originally looked at has a 2" receiver.
