Cannot Get the Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack to Fit Properly on a 2016 Honda CR-V

Question:

I bought a saris bike rack I believe its a ex it has 3 arms total for Honda crv 2016 touring I cant get the clamps to fit any suggestions

Since you mentioned the rack having 3 arms, I believe you actually have the Saris Bones 2 Bike Rack # SA805BL. This is the only Saris rack that I know of that has 3 arms and it also fits your 2016 Honda CR-V.

I am not entirely sure what you mean by clamps. The Saris rack has legs with pads that wedge up against the vehicle and straps with hooks that are placed in cracks along the sides, top and bottom of the hatch. It is important to note that the Saris Bones racks does not work with most spoilers, so if your CR-V has a spoiler, this could be why it is not fitting.

I have linked the instructions here as well. But you would need the single leg towards the top and the two legs at the bottom, typically resting on the bumper. You should then have 6 straps to secure. 2 at the top, 2 to the sides and 2 towards the bottom.
