Question:
I need a new fifth wheel hitch to fit my 2024 Chevrolet 2500 Crew Cab Short Bed Truck. I need a slider with at least 16000 lb. What are my options? There is a Curt hitch for the Ford system but not the Chevrolet system.

Correct, there is not a sliding 5th wheel hitch for the '24 Silverado 2500 from Curt that fits directly in the puck system; I checked directly with Curt as well and they do not have a fit. There are two options that do fit the puck system and are also better hitches; one is from B&W and the other from Demco:
- B&W Companion OEM 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider for Chevy/GMC # BWRVK3775
- Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Chevy/GMC # DM79GV
Both have the capacity you need, with the Companion at 20k and the Demco at 18k. The Companion is great because its construction is designed to ensure you have the best possible ride when towing. Its jaw system measures a full 1 inch thick, which allows the jaws to have a constant vice-like grip around the king pin, which ensures the smoothest, quietest ride you can get when towing a 5th wheel trailer.
So I love the Companion and that's what I would go with, but I wanted to mention the Demco since you asked for options. The benefit of this is that it automatically slides, so you never have to leave your Chevy on the occasions you have to engage the slider, the hitch does all the work for you.
