There are two schools of thought when it comes to determining the correct sized winch for a boat. The first being that the winch should be able to handle 3/4th of the total combined weight of the boat along with the motor, fuel and gear. The second being a 2:1 ratio (winch is capable of handling 1/2 of the weight).
There are other factors that can limit or improve a winch's ability to pull the boat onto the the trailer, such as whether your trailer has good rollers or wooden bunks and whether you're pulling the boat only a short distance or having to pull it for a long distance. Good rollers and a short distance would mean you could use a lower rated winch, while having to pull the boat longer distances on wooden bunks would increase the difficulty and possibly require a jack with the same capacity as the weight of the boat.
I've attached a link to one of our help articles below that goes over different characteristics that need to be considered to find the correct capacity winch, but with your boat weighing 10,000lbs you'll most likely be needing a winch at or close to 10,000lbs in capacity, like the Bulldog Winch Trailer Winch - Wire Rope - Roller Fairlead - 9,800lbs # BDW66FR.
