Question:
Is there a certain plug we need to make the surge brake work I have the same surge brake actuator with the blue n white wire

The Dexter Surge Brake Actuator # DX29FR features an electric lockout. The surge brake actuator itself does not need to be plugged in to anything for it to work. The electric lockout does need to be wired if you want to be able to back up without locking up the brakes. The blue wire goes to your vehicles reverse light circuit, the white wire is a ground. This allows you to back the trailer up without actuating the brakes. Generally trailers with a surge brake actuator and electric lockout will have a 5 pin flat plug, or a standard 7 way plug.
