The best product we have for wiring third brake lights on a Leer camper shell is the 3rd Brake Light Logic Module # PP20-702. This will filter out any unwanted signal from the tail lights and allow the 3rd brake light to activate only when the brakes are applied. You can combine this with an in bed harness like the # C56000. This way you can connect to the 7 way plug in the bed, and still have your 7 way on the back if you need to use it for towing.
