Replacement Spring Bars for Fastway E2 600 lb Tongue Weight System
Published 08/02/2023 >
Question:
My Fastway e2 600 lb trunion bars have bowed a little after about 8 years /50k miles of use so now under distributed. Added a washer year ago but still under. Dry tongue weight is approx 450, gets up to 620 occasionally when travel fully loaded shorter distances with full fresh water tank and empty waste tanks. Do i need to replace bars and if so should i get 800 lb ones or should I adjust more. Will the higher capacity bar ride harsher. Trailer is 3000 lb dry, probably about 3500 loaded. Towing with a 4runner so short wheelbase.

If the bars are bent it's definitely time to replace them. Since most of the time your tongue weight is under 600 lbs you'd want to stick with the # FA92-01-0699 for replacements. If you were to go higher the ride quality would be harsher like you mentioned.
