Question:
I have a 1985 Chevrolet G 30 class C motorhome 21Ft long with a 5.7 350 engine. I need to add a transmission oil cooler as I will be pulling a 14 Ft cargo trailer. I plan to install the cooler in front of the radiator unless you recommend to install it in another place. The motorhome did have A/C, but is no longer working and will not be used again. Which cooler by order number should I buy and use from your web site. Thank you.

Helpful Expert Reply:
The most popular transmission cooler for the 1985 Chevy Van (G series) is # D13503 that you have referenced and it would be a good choice. Mounting it in front of the radiator is the second most efficient location, the most efficient being in front of the AC condenser core where it would get the most airflow whether the AC is working or not.
I have included some links on transmission coolers showing a typical installation and more information in general. Given the size of your vehicle you may also need extra hose # D13003.
