Question:

I’m rewiring a trailer for a older family member. They bought new led lights for the trailer with new wiring and a junction box everything works except the taillights are 4 wires. Ground, running, brake, and turn. There is also two colors in the led red and yellow for turn. So when turn the signal on it’s working but if I apply the brake the opposite side signal comes on and blinks as well. Is there a fix for this?

The issue you are having is the trailer wiring is going to have combined turn signal/brake light wiring. This is why trailers will typically only have single red lights and 3 wires going into the tail light. A Tail Light Converter # 118158 can be used but as these are designed for incandescent tail lights. You will also need some Resistors # DI34ZR to allow them to work with the LED tail lights.
