Why are The Roadmaster Smart Diodes Required For a 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe?

I have a 2022 Jeep 4xe. Do I need to install the smart diode wiring kit part number 152789 if I have a towed battery charger already? Is the wiring kit only to keep the battery from draining while towing or is it needed for the lights to work correctly as well? Thanks!

If your 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4xe has the ParkSense proximity sensors you will need either the Wiring Kit 152789 # RM47ZR or the Smart Diodes # RO54FR. If you already have an entire wiring kit you can replace the standard diodes with the smart diodes. The diodes allow the variable voltage tail lights to operate at the correct voltage.
