Question:

I added LED lights to my pop-up camper. The indecent lights worked previous to me doing the light upgrade. Not sure if it makes a difference but my husband grease the bearings and the pop-up has electric brakes. The trailer will work on our 08 Denali but we need it to work on the more dependable vehicle the traverse. It’s a 2015 Chevy traverse that we added the tow bar and plugged the wires into the add-on port behind the back passenger tire. Everything is getting power to the back. I did buy the curt 57003 LED seven way adapter. And the lights still will not work. Thoughts or ideas? We have checked the fuses!

Thank you for your purchase directly from etrailer of the 7-Way Trailer Adapter for Towing Trailers with LED Lights # C57003. If this did not fix your issue on your '15 Traverse, and the trailer works find on your other vehicle, we know the issue is on the Traverse.

Sine you already checked the fuses, the next thing to do is use a circuit tester to test the connector on your vehicle after disconnecting it from your trailer. Check the wiring going into your connector from your tail lights to see if those wires are carrying the correct signals, and if they are not, you know it's the wiring in the Traverse and you'll likely have to take it to the dealer/a mechanic to get fixed.

If the signals going to your connector are okay, check your trailer connectors for corrosion, which can be green or white in color. A build-up of corrosion can interfere with the signals getting through the connectors so if it is present you can replace the connector with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55774.
