Question:

I need a bike rack for a travel trailer. I have 2 specialized como 3.0 e-bikes. They weigh about 50# each and are step through bikes. They also have front fenders but they only extend 6” past the front fork. Where does the bar attach to the wheel? I would prefer the swagman escapee over the e-spec. Can I use the swagman escapee? Or would the e-spec be the better option? Thank you

For a bike like your Specialized Como 3.0 that has as long of fenders as you have you would need to go with a frame mounted e-bike rack. A wheel mount would need to grab the bike right where your fender is to secure it properly. So between the two racks you mentioned the E-Spec part # S94FR would be what you would need instead of the Escapee # S39SR.

If you wanted a nicer frame mounted bike rack the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 would be what you would want. This rack even has a ramp that pulls out of it that allows for easier loading and unloading of your bikes as well.
