Determining The Correct Adjustable Trailer Hitch For A 2022 Grand Design Imagine 2600RB

Question:

I am looking for a receiver hitch for a 2022 Grand Design Imagine 2600RB. The I beam frame is not exposed under the trailer nor is there the 4to 5inch space between the rear 4x4 sewer bumper and back wall of the Trailer. Any suggestions?

The frame not being exposed isn't a big issue since it's just covered up with some corrugated plastic sheeting that can easily be pulled down and cut to fit in accessories. The real issue is going to be with the bumper since it sits right where the receiver tube for the hitch would sit.

On top of that the stabilizer jacks look like they'll likely also be in the way so while adding a hitch in wouldn't be impossible, it would require quite a bit of work. I recommend reaching out to a local fabricator and having them cut off the bumper and it's supports and weld on a longer tube so that you have enough space for both the hitch mounting brackets and the stabilizer jacks.

Once you have the space clear you can use an adjustable fit hitch like the Curt # C13702 you were looking at. You'll just need to verify that the frame width of the trailer falls within the range of the hitch. The # C13702 fits frame width's 18" - 51" wide. If yours falls outside this range then let me know and I can find the correct option for your trailer.
