Question:
I have a 2023 highlander hybrid bronze addition with a 4 pin plug. Will this work if I just simply get a 4 to 7 pin adapter or would I be required to get #ETBC7L and run all that wiring? If that’s the case what would be the point of this wireless device other than the ability to use it with your smart phone? Thanks!

Sounds like you are wanting to install a Curt Echo Mobile brake controller # C51180 on your 2023 Toyota Highlander that currently has a 4-way. The kit you would need for that is the part # ETBC7L. This comes with just the wiring needed for this exact install and the 7-way adapter. You will need to run a single wire up to the vehicle battery.
