Question:

We have purchased a fifth wheel trailer with a Reese Revolution and were told we needed a Reese hitch for the pivoting pin box to work properly so we can make sharp turns with truck and rv. Since there are no Reese brackets that fit the Dodge 2014 Ram 2500 yet, can the Curt model number C16427-104 be used with a Reese hitch that isnt a slider? If there are warranty problems with the hitch, can the company come back and say they wont warranty their hitch due to it being installed with Curt installation package instead of a Reese. We need to pick up our fifth wheel this week and understand the Reese installation package wont be available for more than 3 weeks. Please advise. Thank you.

The rails of the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Rail and Bracket Kit part # C16427-104 that you referenced are considered industry standard rails. This means that a Reese hitch would work well in them.

For a Reese fifth wheel hitch you could get the Reese # RP30047. If you check out the product description you will see a line that says it works with Curt rails. This is an excellent hitch with a 360 degree contact head that will provide minimal jarring and chucking. I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also.
