How to Install Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Brake Controller in 2013 Porshe Cayenne Diesel

Question:

Hi- I see this bulletin on your site for earlier model Cayennes. I have a 2013 Cayenne diesel and plan on installing a P2 Prodigy controller. Has anything changed or is the process the same requiring an inline relay. Thanks.

The tech bulletin you mention, which I have linked for reference, pertains to Prodigy installation in the 2005 - 2008 model years of the Porsche Cayenne and the Volkswagen Touareg, and according to my contact at Tekonsha this procedure still applies in the case of your 2013 Cayenne diesel.

You will need to locally source a 12V normally open relay and make the wiring connections as described in the article. You will NOT connect the red wire from the P2 to the connector, but instead will connect it to the load terminal (87) of the relay as shown in the included photo.
