Replacement Control Unit For a 1510000172 Kwikee Step Control Unit

Question:

My kwikee steps on my 2013 Winnebago View have a spasm when coming in. I can help hold step and it will stop. I am on 3rd motor and it keeps stripping out the nylon gear. The frame is straight, joints tight, lubricated and battery is full charged with a good ground. I’ve attached a pic of controller and short video of it retracting. Any idea the problem?

While I could not get the video to play, it sounds more like a control unit issue rather than a motor issue. The control unit should sense when the steps are closed and shut off the power for retracting and not spasm. Since you mentioned so many other items you have addressed, including the motor, the most likely issue is the control unit.
