Question:
2022 Ram Promaster trailer brakes. I only have a 4 way connector. What all do I need to change? Can I install a 4 way to 7 pin connector and use the Echo wireless adapter? I will be towing a small livestock trailer that weights 1500 pounds empty. Trailer brakes only. No backup lights or power needed.

If you're wanting to use the Curt # C51180, the only other part you'd need is the 4-pole upgrade kit, part # ETBC7L. The kit includes the 4-pole to 7-way adapter as well as the necessary wire, hardware and circuit breaker to run the power supply circuit to the positive battery terminal. There is a wire for reverse lamps on the adapter, but you can leave it disconnected if you wish.
The Echo would be a good choice for your trailer, and would be much simpler and faster to install than a standard brake controller that installs under the vehicle dashboard.
I'll link to a video showing how the install kit and Curt Echo wireless brake controller works.
