Question:

I bought 2 of the Curt ball trailer hitch locks and ithe rods are rusting after only 6 weeks of use, this does not seem correct and I an scared that that will rust up to the point that I will not be able to remove them.

The Curt Tri-Ball Trailer Coupler Lock for 1-7/8", 2" and 2-5/16" Ball Couplers # C48CR should not be rusting after 6 weeks. The lock has an overall lifetime warranty from general defect, but a specific 1-year warrant for its finish. Clearly, this lock is not meeting those standards to I would warranty claim it.

I would then go with something that won't corrode, the stainless steel Blue Ox Adjustable Trailer Coupler Lock # BLU56XR.
