What is the difference between the 8000 lb and 10000 lb hitch could I change the head from the 8000 to 10000 and use the rest if I have 915 TW

The # C17499 and # C17500 use different heads as well as spring bars. In addition to the # C17507 replacement head you will need the # C17536 spring bars. The brackets and other parts do not need to be swapped out. This will give you a tongue weight range of 800-1,000 lbs.
