Why cant this 4 bike rack be used with a 2 inch hitch of 5th wheel RVs?

The suspension of a 5th wheel trailer is much less sophisticated than that of your vehicle so the Hollywood Racks Destination Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # HR4000 could have been tested and found to wear down too quickly or they haven't tested it at all and won't approve it until they do. Hollywood Racks is pretty good about testing their racks though so I would lean more to the rack not being able to handle the harsher ride of the trailer, especially with it being a 4-bike rack.

That being said, we do offer other racks that are approved for 5th wheel use and can hold 4 bikes, like the Yakima LongHaul RV Bike Rack # Y02476. This hanging style rack has a 37.5lb per bike capacity and is rated for use on all vehicles, trailers, and motorhomes. The arms of the rack fold down for a much slimmer profile to easily store inside a cargo compartment so that you don't have to leave it out in the rain. If you have any children's bikes or step-through frame bikes then you would also want to get some adapters # Y02531 to mount them to the rack.
