Recommended Trailer Brake Controller For a 2017 Winnebago Travato on ProMaster 3500 Chassis

Hi, can i get some help finding the best brake controller for my RV Travato on a 2017 promaster 3500 ? Thanks for your help

I find the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller # RED44FR to be the best brake controller for your 2017 Ram ProMaster 3500. This controller has a small dash mounted control knob so you do not have the interference of a large dash mounted controller to hit your leg on. It also allows you to switch from a proportional mode to a user controlled mode which is similar to a timed brake controller. This is typically more beneficial if you are using the trailer off-road.

To install this you will need some additional wiring. If you already have a 7-way on your Travato you will need the Wiring Kit # 5506 to install the brake controller and run the brake wire to the 7-way connector from the controller. If you do not have any wiring you will need to start with a 4-Way # 118618. Then you will be able to add the 7-Way Upgrade Kit # ETBC7 which will include all the wiring needed to add the brake controller.
