The HydraStar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator w/ Breakaway and 7-Way RV Harness item # HS381-9067 is designed to work with an aftermarket electric over hydraulic brake controller.
The HydraStar Vented Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes - OEM item # HS481-8067 will allow you to use a OEM brake controller to operate the trailer brakes.
If your vehicle has an aftermarket brake controller you will want item # HS381-9067. If you have a vehicle that came from the factory with a brake controller you'll need item # HS481-8067. Both of these actuators are designed only for disc brakes.
The vented end plate releases pressure, moisture, and heat in order to protect the internal components.

What about a 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser? The adapter in the 8067 kit only specifies some GM and Ford trucks. The Land Cruiser has E-O-H capability with the built in controller.

Jerred, We have a couple of different vehicles we tow the boat with. One is a2005 Ford F350 with a built in electric brake controller and the second is a Mercedes Sprinter with an aftermarket Redarc controller. Which actuator is best suited for both of these units? Thanks in advance. Ken
