Troubleshooting AirLift Remote AL73002 Not Controlling Compressor When Inside Of Vehicle
Updated 06/06/2023 | Published 06/05/2023 >
Question:
I have an AL73002 remote for my wireless airbag compressor. At first it worked great anywhere inside the cab of my F-350 crew cab truck. Now three years later and multiple battery changes, the only way the unit will communicate is if I am outside of the truck a few feet from the compressor. Please advise.

I reached out to AirLift and they told me when they run into this, they recommend doing a repairing procedure. Below is the steps they gave me to accomplish this:
JOINING THE CONTROLLER TO THE MANIFOLD
• Access the manifold.
• Locate the YELLOW join wire with heat shrink on the end in the harness.
• Remove the yellow wire from the cap leaving the cap attached to the harness
• Attach the exposed terminal to a good frame ground.
• Unplug the manifold
• While the yellow wire is grounded, plug the manifold back in.
•The manifold will enter a “join mode” and will click the exhaust solenoid 5 times fast, then 1 click per
second
• Once the manifold starts clicking unground the yellow wire
• The manifold will stay in join mode for 30 seconds allowing time to set the controller into join mode.
• Set the controller into join mode by pressing the “up” and “down” buttons together to enter “join mode”.
• Press the M1 button when the display flashes “JO In”.
• After you press M1 it should say JOIN R
• If it does not use the up or down arrow to cycle between Join R and Join F
• Press M1 again.
• Next it should say “JO IN”
• Press the M1 button again to join the controller to the manifold.
• The display will show DONE when the joining process is complete.
• The M2 button will exit back to the settings mode.
• Press M2 button again to exit out of Settings Mode.
Once you complete this you should regain the range you once had with your remote.
