Replacement Awning Recommendation for an Old Carter Shade Awning

Question:

I have a1985 Fleetwood tarus camper 215B fifth wheel. The awning spring broke. In my paperwork it is a carter shades. The instructions I have is 7818-20 assembly instructions. It says using 70 uprights. Can you give me any guidance? Thanks

I did some digging around and it turns out that Carter Shade was bought out by Faulkner RV Awnings around 20 years ago so direct replacements are going to be slim to none unless you try and chase this rabbit with Faulkner directly.

With that said, I think it'd be easier to replace the entire setup with a more modern awning. In order to get you going in the right direction, you're going to need to measure the width and length of your current awning.

For example, if you measured 16' long, then something like the Solera 16' Sand Fade w/ Black Weatherstrip RV Awning # LCV000223163 would work great.
