Disc brakes require a higher pressure than drum brakes and will require you to use a Surge Actuator # T47457007K designed for disc brakes. You will also want to use a Reverse Lockout # T4748800 if you do not already have one on your trailer. This will prevent the brakes from activating when driving in reverse. Drum brakes had the option of free backing preventing them from activating in reverse which is not an option like on disc brakes.
If you can tell me what brakes and axle your trailer is currently using I can help you identify the best disc brake kit options.
