Recommended Weight Distribution System for a Rpod 179 Trailer

Question:

What would you recommend for a weight distribution hitch for a 179 rpod towed by a 1 ton chevy express van. Trailer is 2600 light.

I recommend the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System item # EQ37060ET. This system has a tongue weight range of 200 lbs - 600 lbs so it would be perfect for your Rpod 179 trailer. Weight distribution systems are recommended based off of tongue weight. Tongue weight is typically between 10% and 15% of your trailer's total weight. This would give you a range of 260 lbs to 390 lbs.

I really like the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System item # EQ37060ET because it has built in 4-point sway control that will keep your trailer in line when you get passed by a semi on the highway or make a sudden move. This system includes a 2" shank and a 2" hitch ball.
