Helpful Expert Reply:
Installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C55515 will not require you to flash the ecu on your 2007 Ford Ranger. This harness installs on the Ford Ranger's with the factory tow package.
If your truck didn't come with a 4-way or 7-way connector you will need the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness item # HM40655. This harness does not require the ecu to be flashed either.
